Can you help us? We need new officers.
The festival is run by a committee of voluntary organisers. We have section organisers for each section, plus officers whose work provides the umbrella for the festival.
We urgently need to recruit new members to the committee, which is smaller than we would like. There are roles waiting to be filled. We need organisers for the instrumental section, and the Choirs and Solo Singing Section. We also need an organiser for the Speech and Drama section, which we have not been able to hold for the last two years.
You do not have to be an expert in any area of music or speech and drama to help. What is needed is a willingness to support the aims of the festival, and some organisational skills. We are a friendly festival and each section supports the other sections. Many of our helpers offer time to more than one section, but we are a small team, and would like to be a larger one. If you are not able to commit to the festival as a whole, but would be interested in stewarding for one of the festival days, please contact the relevant section organiser directly. Please note that if you are not known to us, we will require references, and we will need you to follow procedures related to our child protection policy.
